Greetings from THE WILDS of New England

On June 8, 2009, THE WILDS of New England began its first official summer of camp on the newly purchased, 105-acre Deering Center in Deering, New Hampshire. The campers came, and God gave us a wonderful (though wet) summer where memories were created, decisions were made, and God was glorified by the many lives that were changed.


What a joy to witness our campers respond to the challenges to be consistent in God's Word, to strengthen their relationships with their parents, and to stand firm against the pressures and temptations of the world. During this past pioneer summer of five weeks of camp we had the privilege of ministering to 498 campers (plus 40 more at a Christian School camp week in August for a summer total of 538). Of these, 22 accepted Christ as their Savior or received assurance of their salvation. Over 300 others made decisions about challenges in their lives, such as friends, devotions, parental authority, and other personal issues.
