| This program allows you to become a financial and prayer supporter for one of our summer staff members. Below is a short introduction to the program. |
A Towel and a Basin?
| A towel and a basin - not very impressive tools, but in the hands of our Savior, they illustrate an act of humility. The Lord lovingly bathed the feet of the disciples and gave us an example to follow. THE WILDS seeks to train young men and women to be servant-leaders through our Summer Partner Program. Whether waiting tables, washing linens, working clean-up, or counseling, summer staff members have opportunities to learn self-denial as they prepare for future life and ministry. |
Who Are the Partners?
| Any business, church, individual, or organization can become a supporting partner. A partner shares in a staff member's ministry by providing regular prayers for God to uphold them and some of the funds to pay them. THE WILDS summer staff is comprised of over 275 enthusiastic young people, most of whom give their summers to this ministry by serving at THE WILDS and THE WILDS of New England. |
How Does It Work?
| The Summer Partner Program helps THE WILDS offset part of the considerable expense associated with taking care of these young people. Each staff member receives a ministry salary, meals, housing, and insurance coverage. Therefore, the total cost for the more than 275 summer staff members is significant to THE WILDS. We ask that each summer staff member set a goal to raise at least $500 towards his salary expense. By participating, you are helping THE WILDS keep camper fees as low as possible. |
