Nearly every year staff members hit the road to deliver a report on the progress of the ministry and to present the newest project that will help make the camp more effective in the lives of the campers. A nice meal is provided and a voluntary love offering is taken to help with the expenses of the ministry.
The staff brings a little bit of camp with them sharing several music specials and often a humorous skit or two. Then a presentation is made of a project that is beyond the ability of the camp to provide, but one that will greatly enhance the enjoyment of the campers or meet a pressing need in the organization. The benefits and cost of the project are presented simply, and pledges are taken to complete the projects.
What has been accomplished through these informal times of giving and sharing? These banquets have been the means whereby almost all of the major buildings and improvements at THE WILDS have been made. The co-laborers and friends have been enabled by God to meet the needs time and time again in the history of THE WILDS.
