Rifle Range
The Rifle Range at THE WILDS is professionally designed with the best equipment for safety, enjoyment, and learning. Every camper is given thorough safety instruction and supervision before and during their time at the range. A covered shooting house includes 10 booths outfitted with a comfortable bench-rest setup from which campers can fire at 40-yard knock-down targets ranging from 3 to 6 inches in diameter. The rifles are modern .22 caliber with stainless steel barrels and high-visibility sights that make shooting both a quality experience and an easy-to-learn skill. Ammunition is available for purchase at the range for a small fee. Thousands of campers visit the range each year, and many return multiple times during their stay at camp to sharpen their skills and enjoy the experience. |
